Getting the world to dance.

I have an online kindred spirit. I basically love everything she posts, pins, shares, mails – you name it, I love it!

And I simply could not resist sharing the most adorable pep talk you have ever heard from “Kid President”, essentially telling us to “keep going, keep going, keep going” for our dreams. And not to be boring. And to dance. And to be awesome.  He’s also got some words for Robert Frost. Be sure to watch through the end for a special dedication.

If you like it, why not share it?

Many many thanks to Totes Tat for sharing and brightening up a girl’s Sunday evening.

2013 snuck up on me.

I feel like I complained a lot about 2012, but all in all, it was not a bad year. Before we officially say goodbye – as today marks my first day back in the office {and back to blogging!} – in no particular order, 2012, here is what you taught me:

  • Four days is simply not enough time in San Francisco
  • Walla Walla will never stop being an entertaining name for a city
  • London is the best weekend getaway destination
  • Patience really does make perfect
  • If you’re not going to worry about it a year from now, it probably does not matter in the long run
  • Plumbers are a girl’s best friend
  • Plastering a wall is not as scary or difficult as it sounds
  • I will never find a pair of slacks that fit me in Brussels so I should stop looking
  • It is possible to watch The Sound of Music for the billionth time and still love it
  • I have to accept that I have reached that age where all my friends are having kids
  • Chili = the ideal comfort food
  • Closely followed by Thai Red Curry
  • Orange juice drunk in the 10 minutes after it is squeezed is magical
  • I need to get better about organising e-mails
  • Much like cake, the Great British Bake Off is addicting
  • Turning off the TV to pick up a book is a good thing
  • As is turning off the news every once in a while
  • The world can be stunningly beautiful and very terrifying
  • And I need to see more of it….
South Africa, 2013, here I come.
